Car Seat Donation
The Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge #1896 donates a much needed car seat to Tamaichka Galan who is a student at Ocean Academy. Ocean Academy is an educational facility that provides programs for children, ages 3-13, with special needs. These children have a wide range of disabilities that have stemmed from physical and learning disabilities, emotional disturbance, developmental delay, and/or cognitive, visual or hearing impairment.. The Elks is a strong support of Ocean Academy and their students proving again that "Elks Care ~ Elks Share.
Ladies Shuffleboard Fall 2012
The Ladies Tuesday Night Shuffleboard League banquet was held at the Lodge on Tuesday, April 17.

Honoree's: John Lynch as Citizen of the Year; Kass Fredericksdorf, Elk of the Year, and Floss Matteo, Officer of the Year. Each recipient has demonstrated dedication to community service thereby continuing the tradition of the Elks: Charity, Justice and Brotherly Love.
Bubbles for Autism 2012
Cape Trinity and Wildwood Catholic students participated in 'Bubbles 4 Autism" that was sponsored by the Greater Wildwood Elks #1896. Bubbles 4 Autism began in 2004 to bring awareness to Autism. Bubbles are symbols of joy, love and hope and bring people together --- as it did today. Kudos to the staff and students of Cape Trinity and Wildwood Catholic.
Bike Donation!
The lodge donated a Rifton Large Tricycle to Robert Morency, a nine year old student at Ocean Academy. Robbie has multiple sensory issues with significant deficits in purposeful gross motor function, cognitive deficits and a very short attention span. With Robbie riding this adaptive tricycle is the only age appropriate gross motor activity that Robbie can perform with some degree of independence. Picture shows Robbie and his parents Enza and Nick along with lodge ER Lou Sottnick.
Fundraiser at Shore
"Fundraiser At The Shore" benefiting Atlantic Cape Family Support Organization Inc. and Caring for Kids. Both organizations serves families of Atlantic and Cape May counties who have children in crisis struggling with mental, emotional, and behavior challenges. The use of the lodge was donated, along with the food and the DJ. A silent auction was held with over 25 items up to the highest bidder. The DJ had everyone up and dancing.

A Wish Come True
Mrs. Doris D'Angelo, age 89, a WWII veteran, had a wish to come back to Wildwood to feel the sand between her toes and to dip her feet in the ocean. Her wish came true....thanks to the Elks!
