- 10-18-11 On this date we had our annual Adopt A Street Program with the Margaret Mace Elementary School and our youth activities committee. The kids and teachers from the school cleaned up trash along the beachfront in North Wildwood and then were treated to homemade pizza at the Elks Lodge. About 50 kids and teachers participated in this semi-annual event.
- 10-31-11 The annual Elks Haunted House was held at the lodge on this night. Many Elk members stepped up to make this possibly our best haunted house we have had over the past 23 years. Not only did the members help in the decorating the night before but we also had more then 12 people in costume for the haunted house. In excess of 250 people came through the haunted house with all the kids being given our trademark cherry candy apple. Ideas are already flowing for next years haunted house.
- In November we made a donation of $400.00 to Wildwood Catholic High School Boys Basketball Team to assist with the purchase of new uniforms for the upcoming season.
- 11-12-11 The Elks National Hoop Shoot Program was held at The North Wildwood Recreation Center on this date. The following kids won their age brackets of the foul shooting contest and will now be moving on to the Elks south district competition being held in Millville.

- 12-13 year old boys Billy Bolle Jr. Cape Trinity Catholic School
- 10-11 year old girls Maddie McCracken – Margaret Mace School
- 12-13 year old girls Sarah Donnelly – Margaret Mace School
- All kids that participated were given certificates of participation and the top three finishers in each age group were given trophies. Thanks to all those Elk Members who showed up to help and also to The North Wildwood Recreation Center and their staff for all their continued support.
- 12-3-11 The south district Elks Hoop Shoot Competition was held in Millville on this Saturday. All the 1st place finishers from all the Elks Lodges in the south district compete at this competition for the right to move on to the state championships in February 2012. Our Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge made a strong showing by having two kids win their age brackets and two of our kids coming in 2nd place. The first place winners were Jordan Hall and Sarah Donnelly who will now move on to The National Elks State Hoop Shoot Championships in Woodbury ,New Jersey on February 12th. Our Elks Lodge provides financial support for the families of the shooters to go to North Jersey for the competition. Members of our Elks Youth Activities Committee will also be attending in support of the kids representing our lodge.
- 12-3-11 – This was the date for our 19th annual Elks Christmas Beach Party. The good weather we had on this night led to the biggest beach party we ever had with more then 750 people in attendance. This is our youth activities committee’s biggest fundraiser with all the proceeds going towards youth activities events in our local communities. This years event raised in excess of $11,000.00 . Thanks to everyone who supported and helped to make this a record breaking year.
- 12-6-11 – The Margaret Mace Mentor Buddy Program and our Elks Youth Activities Committee teamed up on our Annual Holiday Hayride for seniors on this date. Our Elks flatbed trailer was decorated for Christmas the night before the event. The following day we then took the kids around to 23 senior citizens homes in North Wildwood where the kids present the seniors with presents and sing Christmas Carols while at the house. This annual event provides an opportunity for the kids to give something back to the community. Not only do the seniors look forward to the event but the kids are just as excited and happy to be doing it.
- In February of 2012 The Greater Wildwood Elks will be sponsoring four local high school kids to attend The Elks18th Annual Peer and Leadership Conference in Long Branch, New Jersey . Attending the leadership conference on February 3-5th will be Cody Stanford and Corey Daniels of Middle Township High School and Megan Metzler and Luke Gegan of Wildwood Catholic High School. This conference stresses leadership abilities and provides the specific tools needed to make healthy decisions for themselves and others around them.
- Thanks to all the people who help to make all our youth activities events throughout the year great successes. Our youth are the future and hopefully we have been able to influence the kids lives in becoming productive members of our community. Happy New Year
- During the summer our annual donation was made to The Caper Tiger Basketball Camp. As a result of our donation some kids who normally wouldn’t be able to go to a basketball camp to improve their skills were able to attend and have a great time.
- As we have for the past several years , George Greenland chairman of our youth activities committee was on hand at The Wildwood Catholic High School Spring Awards Program to present The Boys Sportsmanship Award sponsored by The Greater Wildwood Elks to senior Bryan Toland.
- In June The Elk Art Students of The Year Awards were presented at both Margaret Mace School and Cape Trinity Catholic School. The winners this year at Margaret Mace were Paul Henon and Maegan Sharkey and at Cape Trinity Monica Powers and Tyler Norris. Each winner was presented with a hundred dollar savings bond from The Elks.
- Working in conjunction with The City of North Wildwood Recreation Staff a $1,000.00 was donated to sponsor the summer grade school basketball league in North Wildwood.This grade school basketball league has continued to grow each year and the results of The Elks sponsored league were published weekly in local newspapers.
- Once again this September we are sponsoring a soccer team in The Greater Wildwood Youth Soccer League. The money donated goes toward uniforms and equipment for our junior soccer team who play on Saturdays during the fall.
- The Wildwood High School Baseball Team are running a golf fundraising event on October 9th to raise funds to again take their baseball team to spring training at Disney next year. In support of this fundraiser we have purchased an ad in their program book for $125.00 .
